Competition judging

Competition judging is done by three members from other CACCA clubs.

Images are judged mainly on three aspects:

Composition ...  Impact  ...  Technical

The number of awards and honorable mentions in each category is determined by a percentage of the total number of images entered in that category.

points

In the first round of judging in each category, each submitted image is scored up to an allowed maximum of 9 points by each judge. In adding up each judge's individual points, the total score for an image is allotted up to a maximum of 27 points.

If the number of lead-scoring images does not match the percentage number of the entries eligible for awards and honorable mentions, then the lower-scoring images in this group will be judged in-out until that number is reached.

awards and honorable mentions

In the next round of judging, all the allotted number of entries will be judged in-out until there is a clear number of awards and honorable mentions.

images-of-the-month

In the final round of judging, all the award entries in that category will be judged in-out until there is a winner for the

Image-of-the-Month.
IOM DPI images will go on to be submitted in the CACCA intra-club competition in the same respective categories. The dpi award winners selected by dpi chairman. Special's IOM dpi images are strictly an OLCC club competition.

Important to Note:

A high-point score in the first round does not necessarily mean winning an award or honorable mention. However your points are tabulated at the end of the club year. High total points in each category are awarded first - second - third place in that respective category.

During the club year, monthly print and dpi scores and averages will be e-mailed to all members.
